Letter to Congressman Todd Tiahrt

Congressman Tiahrt,
I wanted to say thank you for keeping me updated on the tanker contract awards situation, but today I also want to say thank you for voting for drilling oil on the outer continental shelf. I know you are not my Congressman, but I want you to know that I am watching everyone to see what is going on with our elected officials right now, and frankly, I am so angry that I cannot even put into words how I feel about most of the politicians in this country at this point. I know that I am not alone, and I am hearing the rumbling in the streets from huge amounts of people who are just as ticked as I am about what is going on. The political arena in this country is in serious danger, whether they know it or not. You can only push people so far before all hell breaks loose, and their vehicle is sitting on the edge of the cliff as I write and the dirt is crumbling out from underneath it. Congressman John E. Peters on out of Pennsylvania is telling us what is happening here and he is telling it like it is. He is also saying that natural gas is headed through the roof, and I have to say, that would be the last straw. People will not be able to afford to heat their homes and that is when it will get ugly. Things are already getting out of control as gas prices soar, and there is no end in sight. The figures for February and March this year showed that there was over $15 billion dollars charged to credit cards, I believe mainly because people do not have the extra money to fill their tanks and pay the extra money it costs to buy anything due to sharp price increases. People can't just walk to where they need to go, and the public transit system in the country is beyond inadequate. I lived in California for many years, and the price of gas put me out of business, out of my home and out of the state, and finding a job is beyond impossible for and older self employed man out of work.

We are now almost totally dependent on foreign oil and this country should not be dependent on anyone for anything outside the United States. We have the ability to be self sufficient and we should be doing nothing else. We are standing under the biggest threat this country has ever seen, terrorism, and an even bigger threat of terrorism from within our own government. We have always been the super-power that the world looked up to, and now we are becoming a laughing stock. The dictators of the world are in support of a power change in our presidency, and Obama is their man, because he is one of them. They are delighted at the stupidity of the Americans, and know full well that they are running the show. I have not agreed with everything that Bush has done while in office, and his last term has delivered much disappointment, but so far as the war on terrorism, he has done what needs to be done.

America is being systematically raped by foreign oil, its politicians, and it is sending this country closer to the edge, yet everyday we continue to allow it to happen.

Mr. Peterson also has said he had a member ask him, if we opened up to Australia, would energy get cheap and Peterson said no, and asked why he would ask that question. The reply was, we can't afford to have it get cheap again. Now to me that sounds just like what Obama has said, and it is the agenda of the socialist wannabes trying to take over the country, it's a power play. Everyone struggles, the government steps in to save the day, and socialism raises it's ugly head. The democrats in this country along with turn-coat republicans are destroying all of what we have had and enjoyed, and what many men and women in the armed services have fought and died for, and I for one believe that it should not have been in vain. The agenda with the democrats is to bring this country into socialism, and I for one will not be taken down that road. I will fight. I don't care if it costs me my life, I will not go quietly, I will not stand for my children and grandchildren to live under the dictatorship of some power seeking jack-asses. We had a civil war in this country once, and if the politicians don't believe it could happen again, they're crazy. Congressman, we need your help, and the help of others like you to bring this country back on track, and it better happen fast, because at the rate of debt we are in right now, and the fact that China holds us in the palm of her hands and could in an instant send this country into bankruptcy, we do not have long. We the people are being told about our $9 trillion plus dollar debt this country is in, but they fail to tell us about the $70 trillion dollar unsecured debt we are in. People are being taxed to death, and the government just keeps spending and wanting more and more. Taxing is not the fix, fixing a broken government is. The government has 10 people doing a job that requires one person. The first 9 sit on their big fat butts and do nothing while the pee-on of the group does all the work, and the taxpayer is forking out the money to pay the bill. That is but one example, and I have hundreds. I have a neighbor who is a government worker, and he is never at work. He is home sleeping on the couch, out playing golf, or doing who knows what, and he thinks its funny. I don't. We have close to a dozen people working as superintendents of schools in the state I live in right now, and it would require only 3 to do the job right, but then when would these guys have time to go home and take a nap on the couch or play golf during the workday if that were to happen. One more point before I go. When did it become minority rules? I always was taught that majority rules. How is it possible that one small group of atheists can take God out of our lives because it offends them, or a small group of tree huggers can dictate about where we can drill for oil, just 2 examples. When are we going to wake up and tell all these trouble making nit-wits and those in government that support them that if you don't like the way it works, get the hell out! Stop ruining it for everyone else. If you want to live under socialism, there are plenty of countries that would be happy to accommodate you, comrade. That's not a hard concept to figure out. Our judicial system is so corrupt that anyone with enough power or money can get whatever they want. The Clintons are a fine example of that to be sure. The whole system needs to be revamped, and we need to start by eliminating a 2 party system. We need to elect people who will do the job, and do it right, not elect them because they are republican or democrat, because allot of the time, they do not hold true to the party anyway, do they Mr. Lieberman. And speaking of Mr. Lieberman, he is working very hard to implement the biggest tax increase this country has ever seen since the days of FDR. Taxes, Taxes and more Taxes! I admonish you to continue to press forward and fight for what is right, and to also tell your email recipients that they need to get involved and to write to their Congress-persons, Senators and even to Washington to drive these points home. America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave, but only because of the brave has this country remained free. We have to come together to bring this monster to its knees, and I for one am willing to join the fight. Again, thank you for your efforts, and I hope that you will continue to push for what is right, and to bring this country back to a level of greatness.

They say that everything in history repeats itself. With that said, I leave you with some food for thought:

In 1933 a deomocratic nation FREELY voted for a megalomaniac politician as its national leader.....

The place....Germanay
The politician......Adolf Hitler
It is reported that Hitler killed 11 million people. I would call this a major act of stupidity by the people who elected him, looking to a promise of being taken care of by the government ......America needs to stand and take notice of those they are putting in office.

Best Regards,
